Kittens in cage.

Volunteers Needed!

There are many opportunities to volunteer with Feral Care.  I hope that you find something listed below that will just match the amount of time and energy that you are able to give.  Thank you for your interest!

Trappers-  We try to match trappers with sites that are close to where they live.  We can supply traps, covers, towels and bait.  We have trapped cats brought in to our holding facility in West Seattle, so you can just trap and transport!  Experienced trappers are welcomed, but we can train you if you are a first timer.
            Time required is flexible.

Facility help-  Basic cat care and facility cleaning.
            Time required is flexible.

Foster care-  From May until October we are looking for foster homes for kittens that come out of our colonies.  Some need socialization, some need medication, some just need a place to hang out until they can be spayed or neutered.  Sometimes we have moms who are still nursing and just need a  safe place to be until everyone can be altered.  Sometimes we need folks who are willing to do bottle-feeding.
Time required- two to eight weeks.

Colony caretakers- Colonies that have been TNR’d  need to be cared for with supplemental feeding and watering.  Some food can be provided by Feral Care if you are able to pick it up from our facility in West Seattle.
Time required- one hour two to five times per week.

Sanctuary help- We need volunteers to feed and clean at the sanctuary.  It is a beautiful place, but requires a lot of work.
Time required- two hours per visit, visitation schedule is flexible.

Fundraisers-  We hold a couple of fun fundraisers each year that require selling cool products and educating people about feral cats.
Time required- two hour shifts, up to one day commitments.

Grant writers- We need experienced writers who can help us make the most of our 501c3 status to get money from Uncle Sam and others who want to give!
Time required- ten to fifteen hours.

Please email Nancy at feralcare@gmail.com if you are interested in applying for any of these volunteer opportunities.
