Sponsor a Sanctuary Cat
Feral Care maintains a sanctuary on 5 acres of farm land in Snohomish County. All of the residents are feral cats who were displaced from their original homes (colonies). In the 4 years that we have been open some of the cats have come to trust us and allow us to pet them. People often ask why we don’t find these cats homes with families. There are so many “friendly” cats waiting in shelters for their forever homes that we have made a conscious decision to adopt out our sanctuary cats only after they all have homes. Our ferals think of the sanctuary as their home. They play, sleep in the sun, hunt, watch birds and mice and horses. They are well fed and warm and dry. When they get sick we take them to the vet. We have a recovery area that is very nice and cozy so that we are able to administer medication and monitor the progress of sick cats.
All of this costs money. Sponsoring a cat of your own is one way to participate without having to make room in your home! Every sponsorship package includes photos and stories about the cat that you have chosen. You will receive monthly photos of your kitty. You can even come out to visit and meet your kitty in person! Below are some of the cats who call our sanctuary home. Please contact us if you are interested in sponsoring. This makes a great gift, too!
